The Gerontological Society of America (GSA) is the nation’s oldest and largest interdisciplinary organization focused on aging, with over 6,000 members. Its mission is to promote research, education, and practice on aging—and to ensure that accurate, compelling information reaches scientists, policymakers, and the public.

Managed by GSA, the National Center to Reframe Aging (NCRA) is a collaborative initiative led by ten national aging organizations. It serves as the trusted source for research-based communication tools that help individuals and organizations tell a more equitable and complete story about aging in America.

NCRA advances awareness of age-related bias, supports effective messaging, and builds a community committed to policies and programs that benefit all of us as we age.

The Challenge: Sustaining Impact and Expanding Reach

As the national leader in reframing aging narratives, NCRA needed a long-term strategy to ensure its message continues to reach—and change—the systems that shape our perceptions of aging.

Our Partnership: Strategy Through Action

Bridge Builder Strategies was engaged to develop a sustainability plan for NCRA. Our work includes:

  • Environmental, market, organizational, and product

  • analysis

  • Ideation, strategic planning, and prototyping

  • Defining the value proposition, marketing strategy,

  • and product roadmap

  • Targeted outreach to donors and partners

The Solution: From Planning to Execution

Bridge Builder Strategies is not only developing the strategic plan—we’re helping implement it. Our role includes:

  • Creating new, mission-aligned products for NCRA

  • Bringing those products to market

  • Supporting the Center’s long-term growth and influence

  • Through this partnership, NCRA is positioned to amplify its voice, extend its reach, and strengthen the movement to reframe aging—making sure the stories we tell reflect the value of older people in every community.
